It didn't take Travis very many shows to get his championship.  But those shows were spread out over several years!

The very first weekend out as an owner handler my exhuberant puppy zig-zagged in front of me and I took a sudden skirt-flying tumble in the ring.  Shaken and embarrassed, I vowed "Not Again!".  And the months rolled by... 

A year later, with the support and encouragement of co-owner Jan Mosher, we ventured into the land of professional handlers.  Travis picked up a major but for a couple of reasons didn't do as well as we had hoped.  Discouraged, but still believing in our boy, we decided to try our hand in the ring again.  This time Brad assumed the role of owner handler while I took on the grooming - and we put several more points on Travis. 

Then in the summer of 2007 everything finally clicked.  Good weight, great coat, and wonderful handler.  Travis finished with 2 best of breeds and a 4-point major!
